Poison Through the Clouds. (Ardere vs Amagumo)

Ardere walked into the arena. It was gigantic, it had to be at least a mile long in each direction. It was shaped like a circle and the terrain he had chosen for the fight was forest. He wanted to have places to hide and move through the trees like when he hunted back home. He had amazing hearing so if he stepped on a leaf, Ardere would be able to hear it. He had chosen Amagumo as his opponent, the cloud mage. He seemed very peculiar but would be a great challenge. He walked through the woods until he met Amagumo in the center. He bowed and kept his distance. He wanted him to make the first move. Whoever made the first move would be at a disadvantage most of the time. At least that's what he had learned from previous encounters.

He waited for the man to make his first move. If we won this fight we would get 2000 jewels. That would be awesome. If he tied it would be 1000 and if he lost Amagumo would get 2000 and he would get nothing. He needed this money for some personal thing he wished to buy. I'd prefer if you made the first move. He spoke quietly and calmly but just loud enough to hear him. He wasn't much of a talker but he said what needed to be said. He cracked his neck and knuckles ready for the fight to begin. He would need to conserve as much magic as possible for this. He stretched his legs to his back and his arms behind his head. He didn't want to pull a muscle. He then went into "Hunting Mode". When he got like this nothing would distract him from his opponent. He wouldn't stop until his "prey" was defeated and he won those jewels.

Amagumo was with his head in the clouds again, the sun shined down on the today roofless arena, which was pretty big today. The forest like battlefield covered a giant area, but not only with trees, grass areas covered with rocks and small rivers were present just as well. But what interested Amagumo more was the cloud shaped like a bunny up in the sky, it was milky and white, would it's position be a few meters higher and the temperature lower, it would make a nice storm and cover this field in a wonderful rain. He was brought back to where he was when the commentators voice sounded through the arena demanding the fight as started. Infront of him stood the poison boy, a animalistic guy having a thing for poison. Amagumo didn't really knew, but liked him very much, his wild look and behaviour made him interesting. As the fight started he bowed, showing his enemy respect and good luck wished, he would need them. Mr. Poison through didn't seem all that friendly, but after talking a first sentence Amagumo had another picture of him. He had been gently asked to make the first move and so Amagumo answered with a smile and a friendly:
"But of course, it would be a honour." With that much said he walked towards the boy, raising his arms, besides his body, up, just to bring them down in a quick motion while magic circles appeared in front of them. As his arms moved down black smoke or rather clouds, emerged out of the white magic circle and started to cover Amagumos arms, up to the elbows did the clouds reach and a small tail coming out of their end, even reached up to his shoulders. The clouds were pitch black and had something dangerous about them and slowly did the boy start to walk towards his enemy, the fight had started....

This guy seemed to have a small attention span but overall he seemed nice. He accepted the offer to go first kindly. He would be a worthy opponent. He then summoned clouds around his arms with lightning around them. He would probably come in with a frontal attack but you could never be too sure. He needed to test this guy so he extended his hand in front of him summoning a magic circle. It was red with black outlines and a skull in the middle. Out of the magic circle 10 scales composed of poison flew towards the cloud man. The scales were about 6 inches wide and 2 inches thick. If all of them hit the man directly he would most likely be on the ground in pain or knocked out. If a few hit him he would stagger backwards with bruises. If only one hit him he would feel a jolt and a bruise would be left.

This guy seemed to walk almost weightless. There had to be some sort of trick to his magic. Ardere would need to expose this and use it to defeat him. He must have a weakness. Ardere jumped upwards onto a tree branch about 8 feet in the air. Dragon slayers were known to have super human agility and this could come in handy. He needed to stay away from this guy. So far he could tell this guy was a close range fighter but that could change. He needed to study his technique for a bit to formulate a plan.

Amagumo had waited for this, the first attack came and somehow his enemy seemed confused, even through he wanted Amagumo to make the first strike the first attack was utilized by him. So now there were then scale like object chargin towards Amagumo, but he didn't intend to just stay around. He jumped up, rising into the air like some higher being with his kimono moving elegant in the wind. The scales below him hit a three making a 'thud' like sound and Amagumo could watch his enemy jumping up into a tree, now both were up in the air, Amagumos speciality. He used his second spell in this fight and white magic seal appeared on his naked feet, white milky clouds emerged out of them and he kicked them hard. He would fly forward, just under Arderes position, perform a forntflip and kick himself up again, charging towards the Dragon Slayer from below...

The guy had flew above his scales and then began to come towards him. He went below Ardere and was charging towards him from below. He quickly jumped backwards to a neighboring tree branch to escape from the attack but as he was jumping he extended his arms in a cross motion. While he was in mid air, two fangs composed of poison were fired from his arms at the man. The two fangs spiraled through the air towards the cloud guy and if the both hit him he would fall onto the ground with a large bruise and possibly the wind knocked out of him.

This guy seemed to be an in the air kind of fighter. That didn't come to Ardere as a big surprise but it was fascinating. He would probably have to get in close to him and attack directly to do some real damage. Fortunately, he had a spell that would do just that. If the man didn't hit him in mid air he would land on the neighboring tree branch he had jumped towards.

Mr. Poison was pretty defensive, a fact saddening Amagumo. He had hoped for some real melee combat fun when he spotted the wild man, but as he just jumped back again his eyes showed his frustration and anger. Suddenly through the guy moved his arms and the magic seal appearing signaled the use of magic and soon after two fang like poison fangs came charging towards Amagumo. "Perfect" He whispered, flipped again and kicked of his clouds again, charging directly towards the boys' magic attack. Amagumo striked his left hand forward, shooting a beam of lightning out of the cloud and towards that attack, the two spells collded and both of the poison fangs were caught in the created explosion. the poison splashed away, painting the trees violet and dripping on Amagumos cheek which started to instantly itch, but he wasn't finished yet. He was still charging directly towards his enemy and now that the smoke covered by the magical explosion created covered his charge he would try to strike his right fist at the boy as soon as he reached him, seeing as he moved pretty fast that wouldn't take any longer....

The explosion caused smoke and poison to fly across the forest. Ardere didn't flinch though. The man had used the explosion and his cloud to launch him towards Ardere. He quickly jumped off the tree branch and in mid air he flipped upside down. He collected poison around his legs and spun in mid air about to collide with the man. This was a spiraling poison kick. If the man didn't block sufficiently he would be tossed backwards and slam into a tree. He wouldn't be knocked out but it would hurt his back to get up. If the collision sent them both flying he would charge back at the man full speed. If the man was flown back into the tree he would jump towards him and perform an axe kick down onto his head. Either way this was getting extremely interesting.

The cloud guy seemed to be a hand to hand fighter. He was probably trying to get him to attack him so they would fight. This guy seemed to enjoy the fight, Ardere was beginning to as well. Even if he didn't win, he got some good training for the tournament and a fun fight.

Amagumo was surprised, when he left the smoke the guy was approaching him, he had seemed to wait for this opportunity, but he should have stayed on the ground, where both fighters had equal movement abilitis. Amagumo twisted, kicking the cloud path from his feet only slightly.His body now spinning he started to exhaled, a white and pretty cloud, which looked like a child drew it. The cloud emerged from a magic circle inside his mouth, and covered Amagumos side, the area where the kick would have landed. Taking the hit head on instead of Amagumo, a fluffy white cloud of protection. No sound was heard, but seeing as this cloud was Amagumos cloud he knew what had happened. The guys kick had hit the cloud and was stopped, and Amagumo, who was still charging forward and punched forward with his right hand, slammed his fist right towards his enemies uncovered chest area...

The guy had blocked his kick by summoning some sort of cloud. He then ran towards Ardere with a punch. This entire scene was happening in mid air. He wasn't sure what to do. He quickly kicked off of the cloud sending him towards the ground. He was just barely able to dodge the punch by jumping away. If there was no mid air attack again he would land safely on the ground unscathed but slightly tired. This battle was beginning to get heating up. Neither of them had even damaged each other in the slightest. He would have to step up his game and win this battle soon. He had noticed the man liked to lunge for an attack. Ardere could possibly use that to his advantage.

As the man slightly kicked of Amagumos cloud to make gravity do it's job just a tad faster, the boy smiled. Finally this was getting fun and his enemy was giving him a good show, but he wouldn't dodge the next blow. As his enemy was descending to the ground and Amagumos hit missed, the boy turned again and stopped his flight after using his last cloud path to function like a wall. But the attack hadn't stopped yet, Amagumo stiked his right arm down, aiming at his enemy and letting loose the lightning in his right arm, which was charging down straight towards his opponent, with the usual, fearsom speed. Both of the guys were still close to each other, his enemy had just traveled 5 meter or such and just because of Amagumos clouds help as well. This time through he wouldn't be so lucky, Amagumo would kick of the cloud wall now and charge down towads his enemy again, while again covering his hands in clouds...

The cloud guy had fired a lightning punch at Ardere in mid air. There wasn't really anything he could do so he closed his eyes and was hit by the lightning. He smashed into the ground hard and coughed up some spit. He knew the man was charging towards him so he quickly punched his fists into the ground and punched himself up into the air. He wiped spit from his mouth and as the man came towards him he was flying into the air and did another upside down spiral kick. This time the kick was 2 times the strength and speed of the last kick. He was spiraling and kicking extremely fast and if the guy was hit directly he would without a doubt be left unconscious. But even if he blocked he would still be launched backwards several feet. Another effect would be, the pint of contact with the kick would be infected with a small amount of poison. This poison would make wherever the kick landed on his skin burn like fire causing a lot of pain. No matter what happened if the man blocked or if he was flown backwards, Ardere would stand there and wait for the guy to make his next move.

Amagumo smiled as his hit finally landed, he was sweating which angered him a bit, he hated sweating, but the fight was fun and he had the time of his life right now. In less than a minute both guys had done their best to get the other and already loosened half of their magical energy, but now this wasn't the right time to think about this. Ardere who had crashed into the ground hard, but stood up directly after it. The guys wound must hurt, being burned by the lightning wasn't a pleasure, but he didn't showed it through his emotions, instead charged towards Amagumo again, without hesitating a second. As both parties charged towards each other Amagumo had a bad feeling, his hands again were covered in the black clouds and his enemy surely knew what they could do by now, he had seen and felt it on the own body, the same counted for Amagumos speed and agility in the air, but the guy just didn't seem to care. In the end Amagumos bad feeling was approved, when the guys leg turned violet again and he started to spin to give Amagumo a strong kick. The boy knowing something was coming and not trusting his enemies move, opened his mouth and exhaled a cloud again. It was white and fluffy looking again, but a bit different from the former cloud, this one was bouncy. The kick, the cloud and Amagumo, all three parties hit each. Amagumo who had performed a frontflip again to land on the cloud with his feet first, got shot up into the air, like a cannonball, when the kick hit the cloud at the same time as Amagumo. The kick actually was so strong that he flew at least 50 m up into the sky, being on the same height a bird would have been flying this day around. The whole area was now visible to Amagumo, the area and all hidden locations. This was so much fun.....

Ardere's kick had been blocked by another cloud, except the kick still did something to the cloud guy. The guy flew high up into the air and because of his kimono and being so light, he floated back down. That was complete crap! He had used up a ton of magic energy all for nothing. He saw the man flew back down so in one motion he jumped onto a tree branch and kicked off of it making him fly towards the guy in mid air. He was meaning to tackle the guy and slam him into a tree. Hopefully this would work for once. He decided to stick to melee attack rather than magical attacks. If he was able to slam the guy into the ground or a tree he would begin to punch him rapidly without stopping unless the guy blocked.

Amagumo really enjoyed the height and the view from up there, but now he had to get down. So while falling he moved his body into another position, now he fell head on to the ground stretching his arms back near to the ground, so his speed increased even more as he charged towards the tiny point which was Ardere climbing up to him. He did not know what the insane guy planned but he was getting closer to him and that was good. As the seconds passed Amagumo closed his distance to the ground like lighting itself and as a answer Ardere jumped towards him, both parties would clash into each other, who would be the winner? Amagumo shouted out in joy, his little warcry heated him up even more and he kicked his left leg forward making him spin like a drill. Getting nearer to Ardere he stretched his arms out, charging towards him like a superhero (superman xD).....

Ardere noticed the man was flying towards him head on with his arms stretched out like a superhero. This guy was freaking crazy, strong but crazy. They were flying towards each other at high speeds. He quickly twisted upside down and spiraled in mid air while forming poison around his legs. He was about to collide with the cloud guy. His right thunder arm and Ardere's poison kick. They collided with extreme force causing a massive explosion and smoke to go everywhere. The two men both flew in opposite directions. Ardere flew threw the air and slammed through several tree tops and it slowed his flight until he eventually sat in the top of one tree. He shook his head and was kinda dizzy. That was insane. The collision was massive, he wondered how the cloud guy was doing.

Amagumo felt bad, very bad. His back was covered in bruises and scratches from branches ripping apart his kimono and part of his flesh, just what had happened? He could remember a huge explosion. Ardere and him had both crashed their spells into each other and flew away, Amagumo had jsut managed to pull away his left hand to not get it blown up as well and now both boys were far apart, probably. Amagumo inspected his surroundings, he was leaning on a wooden wall with his back, 50 m infront of him started the forest and he could see a part of the trees tip being ripped out. He must have flew all the way from the middle of the arena to over here, the arenas outter layer. It was a green field with a river, amazingly beautiful, but the pain itching in the boys back disturbed him more. He shortly scratchd his chin, then walked over to a river and washed his back with his right hand a bit, carefull not to put his left and still in a cloud covered arm into the water. What now? He asked himself, how should he find the boy in this giant area? The next part of the battle would be a hide and seek....

Ardere rubbed his head. He was sitting in a 25 feet tall tree top. He quickly climbed down but his back hurt. He groaned a bit and finished climbing down. He had no idea where this guy was or how injured he was. He continued to walk with a limp but quietly through the bushes like he was hunting back in Magnolia. He had got his back cut up in the explosion and it hurt to walk. He watched for the guy in the darkness and found nothing. Where was this guy? Did he fly across the entire arena? He kept looking in the shadows for 10 minutes until he thought he saw something. It might've just been a shadow but he wasn't too sure. He had to keep looking. He then groaned in pain again, his chest and back felt like it was on fire.

Amagumo remained on the field he was currently at, walking into the forest would just make him a open target, he didn't wanted that, he was no hunter or anything and a open field would make this fight even more interesting. But he would't just let himself and the other guy brawl this out like that, he had to much respect of the poison man. He walked towards the forest part, until ten meters were between himself and the tree which he clashed through at last. Then he opened his mouth and exhaled, a dark grey milky cloud, which fast covered the field in a five meter radius around Amagumo. This was the perfect moment to cast this spell, it needed some preparation time to be of actual use and would be a great factor to win the fight. Sitting down in the grass and keeping to breath out more of the cloud he waited. The dark cloud would surely be noticed in the next 20 minutes, which was a deciding factor for his strategy, but now he just had to wait....

Ardere's back and chest began to feel slightly better and his limp wasn't as bad. He was still in no condition to fight but he needed to get somewhere high. He looked up at a 30 foot tall tree and began to climb it, he winced at times from his back and chest hurting. He was a very skilled climber so this wasn't so bad for him. After a bit of struggling he sat a few branches from the top of the tree to get a better view. So far he saw nothing in any direction. He decided to wait, besides he needed some rest. He needed to be in better condition if he ran into the cloud guy. This battle was going pretty crazy so far, he wasn't sure how the cloud guy was fairing but he knew they were probably about the same. He needed to have the element of surprise for this attack. He would wait for the man and jump from above at him. If he didn't see the man he would scoot closer to the trunk for better cover and rest.

(OOC: changing my characters name to Kami which shouldn't be relevant to you due to not having told my name up till now, allso I will do a personality and small magical change [the stuff about his weight] but for this fight nothing of that will be counted, so he is still weightless and stuff here.)

Kami sat in the grass in the middle of his dark cloud. The grass as well as himself had become wet from the clouds structure, which was wet as well. The water helped forggeting the pain and the decreased temperature did as well. He was still exhaling his cloud, not long and it would have reached it's final stage, by now it had already spread out, increasing it's size by five meter. It now covered a 10 meter radius around Kami and already reached the first tree of the forest, not much longer and the three meter big cloud would even reach inside. Concentrating solely on his spell and the surrounding Kami listened to the sound of the nature. Apparently the forest was home of some birds which gladly twittert their little songs. It was a beautiful melody playing in his head, but he had to concentrate. 'That' guy could always get here and Kami wanted to be have all his preparations done until then....

So far Ardere had not seen any sign of the cloud guy. He sat there and rested to regain his physical strength. He need to be in better shape still but the pain in his chest and back was beginning to ease up. He needed to finish this fight as soon as possible. He really wanted to win and to get those jewels. He would finish up resting the jump up on top of the tree to get a higher view and then go search for the man. The purpose now was to just find your opponent. Why did he pick the forest terrain? Now he just might not ever find his opponent. He had to keep his head in the game and keep on trying to win no matter what. This was important to him.

*MORE MORE MORE!* Kami exhaled stronger and stronger. The thought of his enemy was currently bothering him and didn't left him any rest. Because of this he was currently reducing all body movements of his to the minimum, only breathing and exhaling the cloud. He only lay in the grass now, pointing towards the forest with his legs, the cloud had stretched out even more and increased it's size again and by now covered a big part of the green terrain. Having a 15 meter radius around Kami made the cloud already a giant magnificent piece of art and if he kept up his current speed he would have brought it to it's final size in the next few minutes. His enemy surely found his trace in the tree tops by now, they had to be pretty obvious seeing how the boy crashed through them like a rocket and his enemy seemed like a knowledged hunter. Those guys knew about their business, which consisted of trace finding as well. What Kami didn't knew was his enemies greatly improved sense of smell as a dragon slayer, if he would just get into the right area he might find Kamis' strong unnatural smell and take a trace to his position. And the cloud grew.....

Ardere looked around at the top of the tree and saw a whole bunch of ripped branches. That must've been where he flew off too. He jumped to the next tree top and began to use his heightened sense of smell to sense the cloud guy. He could smell something strange coming from the west, he began jumping from tree to tree until he saw some random cloud so he continued to jump almost soundlessly until he was on the tree high above the cloud. He assumed the guy was in the center of this cloud thing. It was a strange spell but he must be meditating or something in there. He had finally found his opponent and the battle would continue. He wasn't sure just yet how he would attack or if this cloud would stop his attack. He need to understand this spell better before doing anything.

I will edit my post, this once, but be sure it is highly unacceptable to edit your post while your opponent is currently writing and not knowing of it, even more, you didn't edited your post in the points i complained about before but just in a way to get yourself in a better position.... )

Kami exhaled for a last time and with a 'plop' the last bit of cloud escaped his mouth. Now he had created a giant smokescreen covering the area and was ready. He took off his Kimono, or at least the upper part of it, letting him still wear the lower layers of it. He then breathed out another cloud, shaping it just like him and positioned it just where he stood before. The cloud was fluffy and now, after a bit of work, dressed like him, making a good copy. Then after all preperations were done Kami backed off, droping himself in the river flowing through his cloud and near his puppet. He was very careful not to touch the water with his cloud arm and held on to the rivers edge. The cloud copy of his would smell like him AND look like him, due to the kimono which as well was covered in single blood splats of Kami. Kami althrough not only was hidden from foreign eyes , no his smell as well was taken due to the water and now he patiently waited..

The scent of the cloud guy grew stronger all of a sudden. This cloud thing must be masking him. He couldn't just jump into the cloud not knowing what he was hitting and he couldn't just waste a whole bunch of magic without a target in sight. He had only one spell that could cover a large area and possibly weaken this cloud. His scales spell should do the trick he swept his hand to the right in a horizontal motion summoning a magic circle. Out of the circle 10 scales composed of poison flew into the cloud at random spots trying to weaken it and hopefully hit something. The scales were 6 inches wide and 2 inches thick, they would cause decent damage t a person and hurt like hell. He really wasn't quite sure what to do now but wait and hope this worked.
