Effect: Using the magic already gathered from activating her Frozen Tempest spell, Nix gathers more magic and focuses it into the vortex. She then expands the vortex outward and expels the magic towards her opponent, causing barbs of ice to form up from the ground in a wave towards them. The barbs are 10ft tall and 5ft wide and should the opponent be pierced by one of the barbs, they will receive damage and ice will spread from the point of impact. This will cause reduced mobility and range of motion for 1 post.

Effect: The strength of the spell depends on the amount of magic paid for it:
D-Rank:
An icy mist begins to flow from Nix' hands then she presses them together as she gathers her magic. She then presses them to the ground, channeling the magic into the ground and towards her opponent. The magic seal appears beneath them then pillars of ice two feet wide and a foot thick (their height is dependent on her opponent, they match his/her height and increase by one foot) form up in a
complete circle around them. Nix then channels more magic into the circle, causing the pillars to close into her opponent, causing damage on impact. The pillars remain stationary until my next post, after which they begin to close in on my opponent. The spires break upon impact.

Nix has slightly more control over the spell, able to now relocate the position of the pillars once before they begin to close in on her opponent. It takes one post to move the pillars if she chooses to, then another post for the pillars to close in on her opponent. The spires break upon impact.

Nix starts by gathering her magic then expelling it out into the air around her. The released magic freezes the moisture in the air to form a swirling vortex of ice crystals around her, shielding her from damage as well as inflicting damage on anyone who attempts to pass through the crystals. The number of spells that can be blocked is dependent on the opposing mage's rank. (X- None, S- None, A- None, B- None, C- Can only weaken one spell, D- 3 spells). Despite its defensive capabilities, it is still able to be dispelled by fire magic.
C-rank:
Using the magic already gathered from activating her Frozen Tempest spell, Nix gathers more magic and focuses it into the vortex. She then expands the vortex outward and further condenses the magic within. The the overcharge of magic causes the vortex to become a miniature storm of ice that surrounds Nix, shielding her from spells. Spells with piercing abilities, such as spikes or spear attributes, are able to pass through the storm, but their force is reduced by the constantly moving ice. This gives Nix the option, should she decide to, to dodge the attack. Should her opponent attempt to physically attack the barrier or get too close, the ice from the storm will begin to cling to them and spread. This causes reduced mobility and range of motion for 1 post. The number of spells negated is based on the opposing mage's rank. (X- None, S- None, A- None, B- Weakens 1 spell, C- 2 spells, D- 4 spells). Like her Frozen Tempest spell, Fire magic is capable of weakening if not altogether dispelling it (dependent on the rank of the opposing spell)
