Anticipated Fight [Jinchu VS Aila]

It was the general training area behind the guild, the cement spread to be a fifty by fifty meter square. There was a slight gust of wind as Jinchu casually pushed through the Fairy Tail back door. The grounds were completely clear which was perfect since he was having a fight today, nothing but grasslands past the training area, 'I'm quite excited, I hope to be challenged to the fullest.' Raza walked beside him, quite interested in seeing how this specific fight was going to turn out, "You know she is probably one of the strongest you have chosen to challenge thus far, at least compared to where all the others were at the time you faced them. Remember to keep that in mind." Jin nodded but was a little put off that Raza would think he might underestimate her, "I know how to fight Raza. It's not like the others I faced weren't strong I just learned how to deal with their skills as they came up. I got this under control... That is... Unless I decide to go wild, hehe."

Raza took the response with silence, choosing to give Jin the benefit of his doubt. He casually walked away from him though as he moved to the center of the training platform, "You know, I have been seriously lacking in fights compared to you recently. I'm going to have to find some time to even that score out." Jinchu just nodded in his response, now standing in the center, waiting for the one he challenged to arrive so he could get his blood pumping, "Alright Aila, where are you?"

'Mmmm, how should I enter the battle' Aila thought to herself. She had arrived a little early and decided that she'd have to make some kind of big entrance. She was already dressed in her Angelic Shroud cloak, so starting with some gigantic acrobatic maneuver was an option. She nodded to herself as the idea formed in her head. Her hands idly drifted up and tied her hair up into a long ponytail.

She saw a spear. It's blade reflecting the light of of the gods. It's staff depicting a war to end all wars. The familiar feeling of reaching into her pocket dimension washed over her. Her eyes snapped open and the circle appeared before her opponent. The circle crackled in a brilliant burst of yellow sparks and in a white blur Aila kicked off of the ground from beneath the bushes and caught the spear as it formed.

She twirled the spear above her head before taking a low stance. Inside her head she was giggling like a school girl, for the first time ever she had pulled a near perfect entrance. Her eye caught the small cat that was always at jin's side. and she smiled, it was as cute as always.

"Hiya Jin" she said with a smile, while softening her stance a bit "Shall we begin?"

Jin's eye caught something over to his side at some bushes just outside the training platform. It turned out to be Aila. He was very interested in facing her and even expressed that with a fierce smile at her appearance. His eyes were wild and irregular, reaching a serpent-green color looking nearly bloodthirsty. His voice had a little more edge to it and a small bit of flame erupted from his shoulder. The flame meant nothing of him actually using magic, it just happened when Jin began to get really excited or even sometimes angry. This was not anger though, he was very intrigued more than anything. Aila's twirling motions while she had a spear in-hand seemed elegant and almost perfectly timed for he entrance. There was an aura emanating from her to suggest already the use of magic. He responded to her greeting with a smile, it looked a lot more frightening than he intended due to the fierceness in it along with his piercing eyes.

He held a leading left fist up, deciding to go weak-side to start it off since he could see what level Aila was going at and rapidly switch himself to change the whole flow, 'Not a bad plan' He didn't forget to acknowledge her words with some of his own, "Hello Aila. Yes, I think it's time we get started, heh." Jin stepped forward with just his left foot, solidifying the right-handed stance and knew that it would be accepted as the more common which would give more realism to his bluff. It wasn't as if this alone could clinch the win but the more someone can catch an opponent off-guard, the more winning opportunities would be to them. The wind made a small gust again, waving his hair around and the red tones and orange ends seemed to mimic flame in its own way. They stood about ten meters away from each other, waiting, 'Alright I will give her a second to make a move if she doesn't optimize on it I will rush her.'

It was a little unorthodox to raise a weapon to an unarmed opponent, but she couldn't think that was against a fellow mage. Otherwise she'd end up dead in a real fight. She took a cleansing breath to clear the tension from her mind. No, Jin had come into this battle ready to be serious and fight it out. While her entrance had been fun, that time was over. Her stance lowered a bit and she felt the enchantment of her cloak activate. The familiar feeling of being lighter than air washed over her.

"Here I go" she said with an excited look gleaming in her eye.

She immediately kicked off the ground towards Jin. With only a couple of short leaps she quickly closed the gap and was prepared to strike. In a blur she brought the spear down. Just as she had been taught, she started with a sweep of the spear towards his legs. It was shallow but if he dodged it, she would have time to defend herself.

She had to get a handle on her opponents abilities if she hoped to make this match a good one, and some test shots were the perfect way to start.

She held the spear firmly, Jinchu was not too worried since there was enough distance that he could respond when she moved. He was more interested in if she was going to take the initiative and attack first. Jin was getting a little edgy, very anticipated to move so he nearly blasted ahead to start an exchange. Fortunately Ai's words spoke before he began moving so he didn't run right into her advance. She made began to make her move right after she finished her quick comment and shot right for Jin in a blurring motion. He prepared his magic and made his response ready for her coming embrace. She made her move as she came right up close and made a swiping action low to his feet. I didn't require too much effort for Jinchu to jump in response, dodging the slash.

The true genius of his move is what he did as he leaped in the air. Normally he would hold back and use little magic but he was too set on proving his strength rivaled his opponents to think of holding back. As soon as he was airborne his body was engulfed and flame and a large magic circle appeared behind him. It was a fraction of a second and he was sent blasting forward with a pulse from the circle as he rotated at an accelerated level. Given the distance away from Aila she would have barely any dodging opportunity. His attack, if landed would be taken in full force, the effects would crack at least a couple ribs, if not braking them and send her flying back a few meters flat on her back. The fire would catch on her clothes, burning through them quickly and cause second degree burns on any flesh that would come in contact with the flame. If somehow missed, Jin would cut the spell off early, spiraling as the flame dissipated and skid upon his landing to see what Ai was doing next.

Ah! He was faster than she expected! With a hasty jump he took to the skies, expecting the inevitable counterattack Aila triggered the enchantments on both her spear and cloak. A burst of magic flowed through both and in a flash of yellow light she began to glow just as Jin burst forward. She kicked off towards her left side holding the spear towards Jin to help redirect the attack. She felt the heat of Jin's flames as he flew by.

She took a quick breath and followed him, refusing to give him time to recover. In her enhance state she jabbed at his legs multiple times before triggering her spell. The lightning that had accumulated around her seemed to focus at a single point. It condensed and condensed until Aila willed it forward with a powerful thrust.

The cone of pure lightning burst forward towards Jin if it hit he'd feel his movements grow sluggish and may be paralyzed momentarily. He would also suffer some moderate burns to the point of contact.

Jin spun out to turn and face Aila, he was not in danger of getting hit by her leg jabs since he would have enough distance from her being forced to dodge that she couldn't quite catch him when airborne. The problem that was at hand was the fact that Aila was charging her weapon, it was visibly there. If Jin didn't have a plan he may have been in bad shape. What he did to avoid her lightning-charged thrust was activate his magic to use his Dragon speed. He was now fast enough to get himself completely out of the way. Dodging to his left side as the blast that was meant for him kept going uncontested, Jinchu used his newly acquired speed to try and get the jump on Aila. He was less than a second since Ai was only the spear and an arm away. He would come in to a hard shoulder-body check right at her center with his right shoulder which would definitely knock her to fall over, let alone take away her balance. If the shoulder check landed then on her decent he would sweep hard with his right leg which would force her to snap back and hit her head hard on the landing.

The check was aimed right under her breasts since he couldn't just simple go for her chest like he would a guy without feeling as if he committed foul play. He would still be able to give her a good knock anyways because this specific region of her torso was easy access to knock the wind right out of her, and would instantly if his plans were successful. There would be a bruise but due to the wide nature of the blunt damage the worst that could really happen would be the great soreness and a potential shortness of breath for the continuing battle. Then if she was indeed hit by his shoulder the leg sweep would nearly be an automatic hit. The sweep would be in the perfect time to take her support completely out from under her and send her quickly back to land much harder than expected. Her head would be jumbled momentarily and obviously sore as well. The landing in relations to the back wouldn't be too problematic except for the fact that Aila would have any remaining breath she was holding on to completely leave her body again already only a second or two after the first time which would leave her quite starving for air.

Ah he was fast. He managed to dodge every attack she threw and, without a moment of recovery time, dash towards her for a shoulder check. He seemed to be pretty reckless to rush in like this. She was holding a weapon after all, and a rather useful tool for blocking attacks as well. A simple maneuvering of her spear successfully sent his attack off base and allowed her to spin around to his back.

Not wasting a moment, she kicked the bladed side of the spear up with her foot. this should cause the electrically enhanced blade to gash his back leaving a deep cut along with a paralyzing effect. Even with his speed the attack would be tough to dodge with their close proximity, however she couldn't underestimate this man. He appeared to be a seasoned pro when it came to battle. If it wasn't for her family training her for so long she would have been floored long ago. She would follow the attack up with a staff swing towards his head which should send him reeling. With his strength the attack wouldn't be enough to finish him but it would at least slow him down.

She was faster than he expected, with his personal buff he believed he was the quicker but he couldn't override that her positioning could allow her to avoid him with her weapons aid as she did. Jin was sent off to hit nothing and Aila would be in position to get his back as soon as she spun out of the parry. He had to protect himself in some form but speed would do him no good here, she was too close. He did what he could as soon as he was sent veering off-course, he activated more magic, he hated the fact that he was forced to do this but Aila was quite good. He activated the one spell that could help in this situation, his defensive armor. It would not stop the attack but he could make the hit much more manageable and less costly. His skin changed accordingly, getting harder and became slightly reflective to light.

Aila's upward slash would catch his back but his scales would lower the size of the cut tat would have been there without. He winced slightly at the quick bit of pain but he began moving as soon as he could to avoid any other potential damage he may receive from being close and having his back turned. From the get-go he could tell he wasn't moving as fast as he should and this puzzled him. He felt the whizzing sound of air sweeping just behind his head and knew that he just barely got away from a powerful staff strike. It was obvious Jin was out of immediate range and he turned to face Aila. Right now he was only slightly receiving his speed benefits. He thought of why that may be and then realized that Ai's spear had a lightning affinity. This must be some effect to do with temporary paralysis. His scales divvied out the shock along his body so instead of having any major body part effected to a high level, everything was slightly shocked. Not to mention that the slight contact also would mean a less intense shock to begin with. The muscle tension would cause him to be slower for the next little bit until the effects wore off.

Jin smiled a bit as he looked at the requip mage, "I have to admit you are good. No denying the obvious... But let's see HOW GOOD, HAHA!" He was quite excited to keep going but now it was time to take in what he learned and put it to use. This was his turn to push back now, he just was thinking of the perfect way how.
