Pull That Sword!

Ardere was walking away from downtown Magnolia and into the vast East Forest. He could see a tall man standing in the distance. When he reached the man he noticed he was wearing armor and a red cape with a crown. He must've been Mr. Pendragon. Ah you must be the young mage I sent for. He nodded and waiting for the man to give instructions. Alright I need you to walk straight out one thousand paces and you'll find the spot where I got the sword stuck in the stone. Thank you very much. Ardere nodded and began to walk the one thousand paces to the sword and the stone. He walked for about ten minutes until he reached a large stone with a massive sword almost as big as Ardere wedged into it.

He walked up to the sword and began pulling on it. It wasn't budging at all so he kept pulling. This made him groan and have to take a deep breath. He tried to pull it again and it wouldn't budge. He tried again and again but the large sword wouldn't come out of the rock. Then he took his knife and began trying to cut around the edges of where the sword was being held but the stone wouldn't cut. He put the knife back into his hair braid and thought for a second. If he used a magic spell he might damage the sword so he had to think carefully. He began trying to pull the sword out again but it wouldn't budge.

He jumped back and then jumped into the air upside down. While he was upside down he gathered poison in his leg and kicked the base of the rock obliterating it. Bits of rock and stone flew across the area he was in prompting him to close his eyes. He could now see a chunk taken out of the rock and the bottom of the sword exposed. He decided to do the same thing again but in a weaker form. He jumped up into the air and turned himself upside down again. He then gathered a smaller amount of poison in his legs and kick what was left of the rock obliterating it and the sword feel sideways hitting the ground. He picked up the sword and examined it. It was large and heavy but very shiny. It was even gold encrusted. This was a pretty cool sword to hold.

He began walking one thousand paces back to the man. After about ten minutes he reached the spot the man was in and he handed him the sword. The man immediately hugged him and thanked him. This means so much to me. Here's your reward. He handed him a bag of jewels and then put his arm around him. They both walked back to the large festival that was being held downtown. The man thanked him again and waved to him goodbye. Ardere then began to walk back to the guild with his bag of jewels.
